What we do

Belfast Central Mission is an agency of the Methodist Church. We aim to meet the needs of the whole person, spiritual, emotional, social and physical irrespective of political or religious affiliation.

BCM works with people of all ages in communities throughout Northern Ireland through diverse social care projects, cross-community programme and two congregations.

Projects are aimed at improving the quality of life for older people by both practical and emotional means. Various services include Residential Accommodation, Housing Support, Community Services and Holiday breaks.

Disadvantaged children and young people benefit from BCM’s wide reaching support and guidance programmes. These include Housing Support and Supported Housing and Therapeutic Counselling.

We also have projects aimed at improving the quality of life for families, including Parent Support and Community Services such as our Christmas Programme which involves the distribution of thousands of Food and Toy parcels across the greater Belfast area.

Gifts in Wills

Leaving a donation to BCM could really help us to make a difference. Some of the areas your donation could help include; providing support and counselling for vulnerable young people leaving care, taking isolated older people on a short break or improving and developing services for the residents of Kirk House Residential Home.
